CW Schools Approve Teacher Contract

The Canal Winchester school board has approved a new 2-year contract agreement with teachers.Under the deal, teachers will receive minimal cost-of-living increases and contribute more to their health insurance coverage. The deal teachers ratified earlier this week gives them 1 percent raises as well as step increases, and will have them pay 10 percent of their health-insurance premiums starting in the 2013-14 school year instead of the current seven percent.
