During the holiday season, Ohio charities often call homes seeking  donations. But Sue McConnell with the Better Business Bureau warns Ohioans that con artists use ploys such as sound-alike names to trick consumers into parting with their money. McConnell says her organization rates charities and places the information on its website. McConnell says charity fraud is often under-reported because people don't know it happens. The Federal Trade Commission estimates 25 million Americans are victims of consumer fraud each year.
