National Hockey League owners yesterday ratified the tentative contract agreement reached with the players union last weekend.Player ratification votes will be held today and Friday. If the players approve the deal, training camps would open Sunday and a 48-game schedule would begin on January 19th.Economist Bill Lafayette owns the local firm Regionomics. He says the full local effects of the lockout are not yet clear.
