Central Ohio authorities are offering a $2,000 reward for information involving a man who robbed a bank and then tried to wash dye off the money at a local business. Police say the man walked into the Key Bank in downtown Columbus on December 17 and demanded money from a teller. The teller complied, and the man ran west from the bank, where the dye pack exploded. Investigators say he later tried to wash the dye-stained bills at a west-side laundry business. Police suspect the same man robbed a Fifth Third bank in Grandview. Central Ohio Crime Stoppers says it's offering $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment in the case.
