U.S. House Speaker John Boehner says the federal government needs to concentrate on budgeting and cutting spending. Boehner today toured a window-making plant in Hamilton, in his southwest Ohio home area, on the eve of President Barack Obama's State of the Union. Boehner told employees at Vinylmax LLC that the nation's economy is limping and could do a lot better. He says the sooner there is Washington action on fiscal problems, the sooner the economy will improve. Obama is expected to talk about his plans for job creation and deficit reduction in tomorrow night's speech, as well as about avoiding across-the-board spending cuts that are looming March 1. Boehner has said any additional tax increases would be out of the question.
