Today is Columbus' 201st birthday and Mayor Michael Coleman hopes last year's bicentennial initiatives impact the future. Coleman and organizers of the non-profit group that spearheaded last year's celebrations spoke Wednesday. Coleman delivered a progress report on some of the programs launched last year.

Coleman and city officials also placed objects into a time capsule to be opened on the city's 300th birthday.
