Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says DNA tests confirm 52-year-old alleged kidnapper Ariel Castro is the father of Amanda Berry's 6-year-old daughter.Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight were rescued from Castro's Cleveland home on Monday, roughly a decade after they were kidnapped separately. DeWine says while the DNA did not initially connect Castro with any other unsolved crimes in the state's database, further testing continues.
DeWine says he thinks Castro may be charged with additional crimes in the future. He's being held on 8 million dollars bond. Cuayhoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty says he is considering pursuing the death penalty in the case.
