A judge has sentenced the former mayor of Stockport to life in prison for raping a girl under the age of 13. 39-year-old Michael Shuster resigned in May of last year after prosecutors filed criminal charges. Prosecutors say the child is a member of his family with whom Shuster had sexual contact beginning in 2006.
