Officials at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base say the facility will not lose its standing as a staging area for refueling aircraft. U.S. Air Force officials say the base will continue to fly the KC-135 tankers, despite being passed over as a base for the new KC-46A fleet. Ohio National Guard officials say they'll keep competing for other Air Force basing missions in the future.
