Equity Firm Buys Local Plant

A private equity firm has purchased a Columbus magnet factory. Terms of the purchase by Alliance Holdings of the Walker Magnetics Group plant near Rickenbacker Airport have not been disclosed. The new owners say they expect to double the work force in the next two years.
