The State Highway Patrol says about $338,000 worth of pills seized in southwest Ohio marks the patrol's largest prescription pill seizure to date and led to the arrest of a Michigan man. Troopers say they seized more than 17,000 pills, including oxycodone and methadone, after a recent traffic stop in Montgomery County. Troopers had stopped a sport utility vehicle after receiving reports of reckless driving on Interstate 75 near Vandalia. The patrol arrested 30-year-old William J. Hedges of Saint Clair Shores on charges including possession and trafficking in Schedule II substances and driving under the influence.
