Ohio Beaches Still Among Nation's Worst

The Natural Resources Defense Council's annual water-quality report ranks the 61 public beaches along Lake Erie in Ohio as the worst in the nation last year. The environmental watchdog group's report says 21-percent of water tests showed unhealthy levels of E-coli bacteria, down from 22 percent in 2011. The bacteria is caused by rain washing sewage into rivers and streams.
