Corruption-Plagued County Rejects Campaign Finance Measure

The Cuyahoga County Council has rejected a new campaign finance measure that would have restricted donations to elected officials. The measure would have created new donation restrictions and regulations to make the process more transparent. The council was created after an FBI probe of corruption in county government resulted in charges being filed against several elected officials.
