Ohio Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor has been an outspoken critic of the federal health care law in the past. But Taylor says she favors the expansion of Medicaid under the law.

Governor John Kasich says expanding Medicaid will allow federal tax dollars collected in Ohio to return to the state to support an existing program. Kasich says he wants lawmakers to expand Medicaid to cover 275 thousand additional low income Ohioans. Majority Republicans in the legislature did not include Kasich's plan in the state budget bill.
