Man Convicted Of Assaulting Columbus Cop

A homeless, wheelchair bound man was convicted yesterday of assaulting a Columbus police officer. 49-year-old Troy Jonas hit his attorney after prosecutors made their closing arguments in the trial. Jonas was convicted of kicking officer Joel Little, who tried to remove him from a downtown shelter last March. Police say he was causing a ruckus inside. Sentencing is pending.
