Cincinnati voters will decide the fate of a proposed overhaul of the city's pension system in November. The Hamilton County Board of Elections says supporters of the ballot issue have collected nearly 83-hundred petition signatures to place it before voters. Supporters want new city workers entered into a private sector-style retirement plan, and want the city to contribute nine-percent of the employees' salaries. Cincinnati City Council members say the plan will cost taxpayers more money and leave retirees with reduced benefits.
