Highway Stretch Named For Fallen Deputy

Ceremonies are being held today to rename a portion of I-70 in Clark County in honor of a slain sheriff's deputy. The stretch of I-70 will be called the Deputy Suzanne Hopper Memorial Highway. Hopper was shot and killed on New Year's Day 2011 during a confrontation with 57-year-old Michael Ferryman at a trailer park in Enon Beach. Ferryman was killed in the exchange of gunfire.
