Test Of Paramedic Plan Delayed

Columbus fire officials are holding off on a test of a new staffing plan after hearing complaints from the firefighters' union. A proposed two-station experiment that would send fewer paramedics on less-serious runs was scrubbed amid concerns over public safety. The fire division wants to spread paramedics out to handle a growing number of EMS calls and to save money.
