Krokodil Found In Athens County

Athens County Sheriff's deputies say they have found evidence of a new, deadly drug on the streets. Deputies say a woman who thought she was shooting heroin started experiencing symptoms from the synthetic drug Krokodil. The heroin-like drug, which has already shown up in Columbus, is known to cause gangrene-like reactions, as well as open sores and eventually death. Deputies believe the drug entered Athens County from Columbus.
