A Columbus man convicted of killing his grandmother is awaiting sentencing. 35-year-old Timothy Smith pleaded guilty yesterday to involuntary manslaughter and other charges for the beating death of 77-year-old Doris Durette. Smith claimed Durette fell and hit her head in August at her Franklin Township home.
