Realtors in central Ohio, the state and the nation are reporting mixed existing home sales results. Jim Letizia reports.
The Columbus Realtors trade association reports November existing home sales fell by 10.3 percent as compared with the same month a year ago. The association notes November of last year set a sales record, and inventory levels typically decline during the holidays.
The Ohio Association of Realtors says existing home sales rose by 1.6 percent in November as compared with the same month a year ago, reaching the highest level since 2006. And the National Association of Realtors says existing home sales fell by 4.3 percent in November to an annual rate of 4.90 million - the weakest pace since December 2012, and the third consecutive monthly decline. The median sale price was more than 196 thousand dollars, a slight decrease from October.
