Cord Camera Closing Most Remaining Stores

Columbus-based Cord Camera is closing six of its remaining eight stores amid declining sales and increased use of smartphone cameras. The other two stores in central Ohio will remain open. Two stores will be closed in Columbus, two in Indiana and two in Cincinnati. The company says camera sales over the holidays failed to meet expectations, and more people are using smartphones. Cord once had 30 locations in Ohio and Indiana.
