Bond On New Charges Set For Local Father In Son's Death

A Union County judge today set bond at 100 thousand dollars for the Columbus resident who allegedly ran over and killed his son last month at a construction site. 30-year-old Natividad de Jesus Hernandez entered a not guilty plea today to charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter and hit-skip. Prosecutors say he did not follow the ambulance to the hospital and made no attempt to contact law enforcement agency after he left the scene of the accident that killed 4-year-old Angel Gustbabo Hernandez. Prosecutors say the father, an undocumented immigrant, was attempting to steal valuable metals from the site to sell as scrap.
