Groveport Madison Schools Vote to Put Money Issues On May Ballot

The Groveport Madison school board has approved placing before voters in May a combined 6.18 mill operating levy, a 33 million dollar bond issue and a half-mill permanent-improvements levy. District officials say the operating levy will help avoid budget cuts, and the bond issue will fund construction of a new high school building. Voters last year rejected an emergency levy, which the district says forced 2.4 million dollars in budget cuts.
