A Trumbull County jail guard taken hostage by three inmates Wednesday has been released unharmed. The inmates have been taken to a maximum-security facility. Sheriff Tom Altiere says the guard was not physically harmed after being held for several hours.
Altiere says one of the inmates was being held on murder charges and has threatened guards in recent weeks.
