Worthington Pilot Killed In Plane Crash

The Ohio Highway Patrol says the pilot of a single-engine plane was killed in a crash Monday near the Erie-Ottawa airport in Port Clinton. Lieutenant Brett Gocksetter says the plane went down just after take off.

Gocksetter identifies the pilot as 60-year-old Richard Schimizze of Worthington. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
