A jury has found suspended Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly guilty of using his office for personal gain. Kelly has been found guilty of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, theft in office and other charges. Besides buying food and clothing with county money, Kelly was accused of selling county property to a scrapyard, and stealing copper wire from a county garage, among other allegations. He will be sentenced on 18 of the 25 counts in the indictment on March 30.
