Cleveland Activists Seek Arrest Of Cops Who Killed Tamir Rice

Rice Family

A group of civil rights leaders, activists and clergy today is seeking arrest warrants for two Cleveland police officers involved in the 2014 shooting death of a 12-year-old African-American boy who was armed with a pellet gun. The group cites an Ohio law allowing private citizens with knowledge of a case to file affidavits charging an offense and asking a judge to issue arrest warrants. The investigation into the November shooting of Tamir Rice was turned over to prosecutors last week to determine if criminal charges will be filed.
