A comedy club in Lima is trying to raise money to honor comedian Phyllis Diller with a museum exhibit in her hometown.
Limaland Comedy hosted the third annual Lima's Funniest Lady festival to help raise money for a permanent Phyllis Diller exhibit at the Allen County Museum. Historians say Diller spent her childhood in Lima. Allen County Museum director Patricia Smith says she would love to see a more elaborate Diller display at the museum. The museum's few Diller items include a dress, two paintings done by Diller and some publicity photos.
