Local Teen Robbery Suspect To Be Tried As An Adult

A judge has ruled a 17-year-old Columbus man accused of participating in a robbery in which two suspects where shot and killed by police may be tried as an adult. Prosecutors say Savon Dearmond and another male suspect robbed a store on Alum Creek Drive at gunpoint in October of last year.  The suspect fled in a car and two individuals inside the car were shot by police.  Trial for the other man is expected to begin in the coming months.
