Franklin County Has New Emergency Alert System

Franklin County now has an electronic emergency alert system that can reach more than 1 million people in 42 jurisdictions. The new 200 thousand dollar a year system unveiled this week allows county County Emergency Management and Homeland Security officials to alert people at the touch of a button, using brand new technology. Residents may sign up to receive the alerts through the emergency management agency's website. A link is posted below.
