Local Fire Chief Facing Disciplinary Hearing

Liberty Township trustees have begun the process of determining discipline for fire chief Tim Jensen after a series of management lapses. Jensen was placed on paid leave in March for alleged offenses. They include excluding human resources officials when preparing a job description; failing to provide necessary paperwork to coordinate leave benefits; missing doses of an EMS drug, and tardiness. A disciplinary hearing is pending. Jensen's attorney questions the alleged offenses and says they are not grounds for termination.
