Levy To Upgrade Delaware County 911 Proposed

Delaware County officials want to ask voters to approve a tax levy this fall to fund 911 operations. The county's 911 board says the proposed 5 year, .45 mill levy will fund an upgrade in emergency dispatching services needed because of continued population growth. If voters approve the levy, it will cost the owner of a 100 thousand dollar home 23 dollars a year beginning in 2017. County Commissioners have until August 10 to approve placing the levy on the November ballot.
