Local Developer Submits Plans For Vacant N.E. Ohio Mall

A Columbus-based developer has submitted plans to the City of Akron to redevelop the former Rolling Acres Mall property.  The plan by AES Development would transform the mall into a youth sports complex with facilities for basketball, volleyball, soccer and other sports, as well as a hotel to house participants in youth sports tournaments. The city owns the properpty after several failed attempts to auction it off to the highest bidder.
