State Minimum Wage To Increase Next Year

Ohio's minimum wage will increase by 5 cents next year to adjust for inflation. Non-tipped workers must be paid an hourly wage of at least 8-dollars-15-cents beginning January 1. Tipped workers are slated to receive a 3 cent increase to a minimum of 4-dollars-8-cents an hour. The Consumer Price Index rose seven-tenths of a percent during the past year.  The new wage only applies to companies with annual gross receipts of more than 299 thousand dollars a year.
