Looking to tamp down negative publicity ahead of next month's levy vote, Columbus Board of Education members say they want to work with the community to put an end to violence near schools. The district is planning a meeting to address school safety after last week's shooting of two students outside Linden-McKinley STEM Academy. Board members say they want to hear ideas from the public. Details of the times, dates and locations of the meetings have yet to be released.
