Columbus Officer Shot During Drug Raid

A Columbus police officer and another person were shot and wounded last night on the west side. Officers were conducting a drug raid at a South Burgess Avenue apartment house when the shots rang out. The wounded officer is hospitalized in stable condition. The other wounded person, Bernard Cannady, is listed in stable condition. Suspected shooter Shawn Toney is facing charges of assaulting a police officer. No other information has been released.
