Lukas Sedlak and Brandon Dubinsky scored on penalty shots to lead the Columbus Blue Jackets over the Devils 4-1 on Sunday in New Jersey. The win clinched the Jackets' third playoff berth in franchise history, and moved them into a tie with Washington for the NHL's best record. Jackets center Boone Jenner says the game was a good test for post-season play.

The game marked the third time in NHL history a team scored twice in a game on penalty shots. The others happened in 1982 and in 2009. The Jackets this season set franchise single-season records for victories and points scored.
