OHP IDs Two Victims Of Weekend Washington County Plane Crash

The Ohio Highway Patrol has identified the two people who died over the weekend when their small plane crashed into a retention pond near Beverly in Washington County. 63-year-old pilot, Umamahesware Kalapatapu and his 61-year-old wife, Sitha-Gita Kalapatapu were the only ones on board the Piper Archer PA-28 en route from Indiana to West Virginia. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
