The City of Columbus has paid nearly 11 thousand dollars to euthaize 250 geese that populated the Scioto River downtown. The Department of Recreation and Parks obtained a state permit to have the geese euthanized in late June. The city paid a different service 15 thousand dollars to scare the geese away with dogs and loud noises last year, but that didn't work as well as officials had hoped.
