Man Working On Columbus Highway Struck And Killed By Alleged Intoxicated Driver

Columbus Police say a construction worker was killed early Saturday by an intoxicated driver along I-70 near Hilliard-Rome Road.  Police say 59-year-old Steve Cook was struck while standing in a work zone early Saturday by a car driven by 30-year-old Edward Torres. Police say Torres drove through construction barrels blocking three closed lanes. Torres is scheduled to appear in court Monday on an aggravated vehicular homicide charge.
