Ohio's March Jobless Rate Down Slightly From February

Ohio's new unemployment rate is 4.4 percent. 

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says today the rate for March is a decline of one-tenth of a point from February. Non-farm payrolls in March rose by nearly 11 thousand to more than 5.5 million. The agency says the number of jobless Ohioans in March was 253 thousand, down by 9 thousand from February. The nation's unemployment rate for March is 4.1 percent. Ohio gained jobs last  month in several sectors, including manufacturing, construction and leisure and hospitality.
