Columbus police say a suspected robber died Sunday after a struggle with a group of male bystanders who witnessed the robbery and chased him down.
The bystanders pursued the man after seeing him rob a woman at a Cassady Avenue gas station. He was found critically injured in the parking lot of a nearby hotel. He died at a local hospital. Authorities did not release his name or specify the nature of his injuries. It is unclear if criminal charges will be filed.
