CDP Identifies Alleged Robber Who Died Following Confrontation With Bystanders

Columbus police have identified the suspected robber who died Sunday after a struggle with a group of male bystanders who chased him down.  

Police say the bystanders pursued 23-year-old Kevin West after seeing him rob a woman at a Cassady Avenue gas station. He was found critically injured in the parking lot of a nearby hotel. He died at a local hospital. Authorities did not specify the nature of West's injuries. It remain unclear if criminal charges will be filed.
