Macedonia Mayor Joseph Migliorini has resigned after being charged with assaulting a woman in Florida.

Police say Migliorini pulled a woman's hair and slapped her outside of a restaurant in April.  Migliorini issued an apology Monday while annoucing his resignation.

A judge ordered Migliorini to complete a 12-hour anger management course. City Council President Nick Molnar takes over on an interim basis.
