Nearly 40 Hepatitis A Cases Confirmed In Clark County

Clark County Health officials say they've confirmed nearly 40 cases of hepatitis A so far this year, with most tied to the current outbreak declared by the state last year.

The source or sources of the outbreak are not clear. Hepatitis A is a vaccine-preventable liver disease that's spread by ingesting fecal matter from contaminated food, beverages or objects.
