The seven former Whetstone Garden and Care Center workers accused of neglecting a patient who died pleaded not guilty on Monday.

They are free on bond on charges including forgery, gross patient neglect, and involuntary manslaughter. Patient James Chandler developed a bedsore which then led to his death from sepsis.  Five defendants agreed to put their nursing licenses on inactive status pending their trials.
