Kent State University trustees on Monday chose a new school president.

60-year-old Provost Todd Diacon will succeed the retiring Beverly Warren on July first.  Diacon was the top candidate in a nationwide search. He says financial aid for struggling students is among his top priorities.  Diacon will be paid $475,000 annually.
