Ross County Treasurer Stephen Neal has pleaded not guilty to an OVI charge following a June 2nd traffic stop.
Ohio Highway Patrol troopers say they detected an odor during the stop after spotting Neal making several lane violations on Western Avenue. Neal also refused a breathalyzer test. Neal has declined comment. He was appointed by the county Democratic Party last December. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 15. Neal also faces a license suspension. His arrest was first reported by the Chillicothe Gazette.
