Suspect Charged With Setting Puppy Ablaze

Columbus fire officials say a suspect has confessed to setting a crate with a puppy inside ablaze at Walnut Hill Park Sunday. 

Ra’shae Johnson is charged with a fifth-degree felony. A motive has not been disclosed. Responding firefighters found the cage ablaze and melted plastic on the 3-month-old puppy's back. The canine is recovering at Diley Hill Animal Emergency Center.
